Bootiga Docs
Everything you need to manage your Bootiga store with confidence.
Use this guide to manage your Bootiga website after launch. It focuses on the daily tasks a store owner needs most, with short practical steps instead of technical Drupal documentation.
Getting started
- Sign in to Bootiga and open your store through its URL in the control panel. You enter as the owner without a separate store login.
- Open your website administration area and review the store, products, orders, and content sections.
- Replace sample products and content, check payments and legal pages, then publish the store from the owner banner. Until then, only you can preview it while signed in.
Products
- Use the products area to create, edit, disable, or delete products.
- Keep product names clear, add quality images, write useful descriptions, and check the price before publishing.
- If a product has variations, review each variation separately because price, SKU, stock, and images can vary.
Categories and brand
- Use categories to help customers browse your catalog.
- Keep category names short and consistent.
- Use brand information only when it helps customers filter or understand the product range.
Orders
- Review new orders from the commerce administration area.
- Check customer details, order items, payment state, and fulfillment state before shipping or contacting the customer.
- Update order states as your internal process moves forward.
Payments
- Configure the payment gateway before accepting real orders.
- Use test mode while checking the purchase flow.
- Switch to live credentials only when you have verified checkout, emails, taxes, and order management.
Promotions
- Create discounts from the promotions area.
- Define clear start and end dates.
- Test each promotion with a real cart before sharing the code with customers.
Shipping and taxes
- Configure shipping methods and tax rules before launch if your store sells physical products.
- Check that checkout shows the correct totals.
- Review legal and tax requirements for your business location.
Editing pages with Mercury Editor
- Use Mercury Editor to edit visible page sections.
- Change text and images carefully, then save and review the public page.
- Delete demo sections only when you are sure they are no longer needed.
- Open the Mercury Editor guide.
Plans, limits, and domains
- The Free plan is designed for testing and starting small.
- Basic adds more capacity and custom-domain features.
- Use your billing area to review the active plan, storage usage, and subscription state.
PayPal payments
- PayPal setup for Drupal Commerce.
- Prepare sandbox and live credentials before accepting real payments.
- Test checkout completely before switching the gateway to live mode.
Further documentation
- Bootiga is based on Drupal Commerce. For advanced commerce configuration, you can also check the official Drupal Commerce documentation.
- Some advanced features may look different in Bootiga because the platform is prepared for hosted ecommerce sites.
Stripe payments
- Configure Stripe Payment Element for card and wallet payments.
- Use test mode, webhooks, and safe live checks.
- Keep orders synchronized when payments complete outside the browser flow.

Sell downloadable products with Bootiga Tecno
A PDF guide, an EPUB book or an audio file needs a different delivery process from a physical product. Bootiga Tecno includes a private-file and license integration. Use a download-enabled product variation; publishing a public file URL does not protect a paid download.
- Prepare the file and check that its extension is allowed by the download field. Use a clear product description explaining the format, contents and what the buyer receives.
- Attach the file to the download-enabled variation using private storage. Configure its file license and expiration; use unlimited expiration when appropriate. Do not place the paid file in an ordinary public media link.
- Connect your payment provider and test a purchase in its test environment. Licensed downloads require the buyer to have an account. A product without a configured file license does not gain automatic file delivery just because it is described as digital.
- After payment, check the download on the checkout completion page and in the buyer’s Files tab. Test that an unpaid order cannot download it. Cancellation and a full refund revoke access; partial refunds require merchant review.
This guide covers downloadable files in Tecno. Protected streaming, automatic software serial allocation and subscriptions are not included. The download module does not itself send delivery emails; verify your email flow separately.
Checklist before publishing your online store
A prepared store is initially private. Use your owner access from the Bootiga panel to replace the sample content and test the experience before opening it to visitors.
- Replace sample products, photos and text. Check prices, variation stock, contact information and product descriptions. Choose the template that fits your catalog.
- Configure your delivery methods and payment provider. Test the entire order in the payment provider’s test environment, including the basket, totals, confirmation and stock changes. Do not use live card details for a test transaction.
- Review your business information, privacy, cookies, delivery and returns pages. Use information that matches the way your store operates. Preview the navigation, images and checkout on a phone.
- When ready, use the publication control in the owner bar. Open the store in a private browser window without owner access and check the home page, a product and the basket. Creating the store and publishing it are separate steps.
