Bootiga Docs
Use this guide to manage your Bootiga website after launch. It focuses on the daily tasks a store owner needs most, with short practical steps instead of technical Drupal documentation.
Getting started
- Log in from the top bar of Bootiga or your website.
- Open your website administration area and review the store, products, orders, and content sections.
- Update your logo, contact details, demo products, pages, and legal texts before sharing the store publicly.
Products
- Use the products area to create, edit, disable, or delete products.
- Keep product names clear, add quality images, write useful descriptions, and check the price before publishing.
- If a product has variations, review each variation separately because price, SKU, stock, and images can vary.
Categories and brand
- Use categories to help customers browse your catalog.
- Keep category names short and consistent.
- Use brand information only when it helps customers filter or understand the product range.
Orders
- Review new orders from the commerce administration area.
- Check customer details, order items, payment state, and fulfillment state before shipping or contacting the customer.
- Update order states as your internal process moves forward.
Payments
- Configure the payment gateway before accepting real orders.
- Use test mode while checking the purchase flow.
- Switch to live credentials only when you have verified checkout, emails, taxes, and order management.
Promotions
- Create discounts from the promotions area.
- Define clear start and end dates.
- Test each promotion with a real cart before sharing the code with customers.
Shipping and taxes
- Configure shipping methods and tax rules before launch if your store sells physical products.
- Check that checkout shows the correct totals.
- Review legal and tax requirements for your business location.
Editing pages with Layout
- Use the Layout option to edit visible page sections.
- Change text and images carefully, then save and review the public page.
- Delete demo sections only when you are sure they are no longer needed.
Plans, limits, and domains
- The Free plan is designed for testing and starting small.
- Basic adds more capacity and custom-domain features.
- Use your billing area to review the active plan, storage usage, and subscription state.
Further documentation
- Bootiga is based on Drupal Commerce. For advanced commerce configuration, you can also check the official Drupal Commerce documentation.
- Some advanced features may look different in Bootiga because the platform is prepared for hosted ecommerce sites.
