Layout Builder guide for Bootiga

Layout Builder guide for Bootiga

Use this guide to edit the visual structure of your Bootiga store without touching code. It is adapted for the pages and product blocks available in Bootiga, including the frontpage, editable product grids, and similar products on product detail pages.

What Layout Builder does

  • Layout Builder lets you arrange page sections and blocks visually.
  • You can use it to adjust the layout of one page or a shared template, depending on the screen you are editing.
  • In Bootiga it is especially useful for store pages, frontpage product areas, and product detail recommendations.

Open Layout mode

  • Log in as the site owner or an administrator.
  • Visit the page you want to edit and use the Layout action from the contextual menu or administration actions.
  • Use Back to Administration when you want to leave the layout editing interface.

Sections and blocks

  • Sections define the structure of the page.
  • Blocks are the content pieces placed inside those sections.
  • Use Configure to change a block setting, and remove blocks only when you are sure they are no longer needed.

Product grids in Bootiga

  • The editable product grid can show the most recent products or best-selling products.
  • You can choose 2, 3, or 4 rows, showing 8, 12, or 16 products on desktop.
  • After saving, review the page on desktop and mobile so spacing and images look right.

Similar products

  • On product detail pages, the similar products block can match products by brand, collection, or tag.
  • This works best when product data and taxonomy terms are filled consistently.
  • Place it below the product detail to help customers keep browsing.

Style settings

  • Some Bootiga blocks include a Style tab for presentation options.
  • Keep spacing, colors, and typography aligned with the selected storefront appearance.
  • If a change does not appear immediately, clear cache or reload the page after saving.

Safe editing workflow

  • Change one area at a time and save before moving to the next one.
  • Keep the demo blocks until replacement content is ready.
  • Check the public page after each important layout change.

When to use admin screens

  • Use product administration for prices, images, stock, and product data.
  • Use Layout Builder for how content is arranged visually.
  • Use Store Appearance for global presets such as colors, fonts, and general style.
